Gluten-free, lactose-free or without nuts

An allergy or dietary requirement need not stand in the way of an evening out, even if you drive over especially from Enschede, Gronau or elsewhere in the Achterhoek. Almost every dish on our menu can be prepared gluten-free or lactose-free, including the Chef’s menu, and we can cook nut-free too. Let us know when you book, and the kitchen will take care of the rest.

Gluten-free dining

If you have coeliac disease or a gluten intolerance, you can simply dine with us like everyone else. Almost every dish can be prepared gluten-free, from lunch to the seven-course Chef’s menu. There is gluten-free bread, and the kitchen prepares your dishes separately. At breakfast, too, there is a separate gluten-free breakfast.

Lactose-free and dairy-free

Almost every dish can be prepared lactose-free, including sauces and desserts. Let us know whether it is lactose or all dairy you need to avoid, so that the kitchen knows exactly what to look out for.

Nut allergy

The kitchen can cook nut-free. Where a dish naturally contains nuts, we leave them out or replace them, and your dishes are prepared separately. If you have a severe nut allergy, we ask you to call us in advance, so that together we can prepare everything properly.

Other allergies

We cater for all 14 legally listed allergens, from egg and fish to celery, mustard, sesame and sulphites. If you are vegetarian, there are vegetarian dishes on the menu. If in doubt, feel free to call us on 0545 700 222.

Can I have the Chef’s menu gluten-free or lactose-free?

Yes. The Chef’s menu and the three-course set menu can also be prepared gluten-free or lactose-free. The chef adapts the dishes, so that you enjoy the same evening as the rest of the table.

Can I eat lactose-free or dairy-free?

Yes, almost every dish can be prepared lactose-free, including sauces and desserts. Let us know whether it is lactose or all dairy you need to avoid, and the kitchen will take that into account.

I have a nut allergy. Can I eat at your restaurant?

Yes, the kitchen can cook nut-free. A few dishes naturally contain nuts, such as the nut bread served with the cheese. We leave these out or replace them, and your dishes are prepared separately. If you have a severe nut allergy, we ask you to call us in advance, so that together we can prepare everything properly.

How do you prevent cross-contamination?

We prepare dishes for guests with an allergy separately, with a dedicated board, pan and utensils. Our kitchen and service staff are trained in allergens. Because our kitchen also handles gluten, nuts and dairy, we can never completely rule out traces. If you have a very severe allergy, please call us in advance.

Do you have gluten-free bread?

Yes, there is gluten-free bread. Feel free to ask for it when you book or at the table.

Is there a gluten-free breakfast?

Which allergies do you cater for?

With all 14 legally listed allergens: gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, soya, milk, nuts, celery, mustard, sesame seeds, sulphites, lupin and molluscs. At the table you can ask for the allergen menu, which shows for each dish what it contains.

How do I let you know about my allergy or dietary requirement?

Ideally when you book: by phone on 0545 700 222 or in the comments of your online booking. Please also mention it to the service staff at the table, so that everyone is aware.
